Dr. David Neuman

I am an Orthopedic Surgeon fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and arthroscopy. I have a wide spectrum of treatments as a Sports Medicine physician, whether one suffers from early arthritis, a soft-tissue injury or broken bones.

I have an additional interest in preventative Orthopedics. Whether it is clarifying reasons as to why a person may suffer from shin splints or overuse wrist and elbow conditions, the discussion will include how to prevent recurrence once the injury subsides. I believe in the US Heart Association's view on weekly exercise and maintaining a healthy exercise regimen. In addition, proper diet and weight-consciousness are important aspects of a persons' life. Living in moderation can lead to a healthy, productive life.

Finally, there is a place for anti-inflammatory medications, vitamins and neutraceuticals for the repair and maintenance of bones and joints. I believe in using Calcium and Vitamin D supplementation therapy for those suffering from fractures. I am an advocate of bisphosphonate therapy for maintenance and structural integrity of the skeleton in those diagnosed with osteoporosis. I am a proponent of "The Bone and Joint Decade".
